CLCT places great emphasis on service to the Law School and the National Center for State Courts. Law School Support includes teaching courses, support of the Legal Skills Program, financial support of students, and general assistance to the staff and faculty of both the Law School and College.
A major and expanding component of CLCT is our work in education and training. In addition to classes offered to students enrolled at William and Mary’s School of Law, we also routinely holds training programs for interested attorneys, judges, courtroom technologists, and other members of the legal community. Many of these training programs are offered in Williamsburg, but our staff is also available to travel to other locations to offer training courses. The programs feature a range of topics, including:

One of the Project’s most successful initiatives has been our certification course for legal technologists. This course is designed to assist court IT personnel in dealing with the audio and video aspects of modern courtroom technologist.
CLCT also offers distance education activities using new technologies. Although the Project has been involved in distance education for years, we are now planning a major expansion to address the needs of our Court Affiliates, judges, lawyers, and court reporters.
